Crushed Yellow Calcite from Mexico, Fine Crush, Powder Size, <0.25mm
Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral that can come in a variety of different colors depending on which trace elements are present. For yellow calcite, the trace element that gives it its distinct color is iron. Calcite is one of the softest minerals with a Moh's hardness of 3. This particular crushed calcite has a warm, pale-yellow hue and is sourced from Mexico.
Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles. Our powders do have a slight grit to them. Please see the corresponding sediment size chart.
