Crushed Stichtite and Green Serpentine (Atlanisite) from South Africa, Fine Crush, Powder Size, <0.25mm
Atlantisite is a rare metamorphic rock that consists of a purple mineral, named stichtite, that is intergrown with green serpentine. These metamorphic minerals form near areas where hydrothermal alteration has happened in the Earth's crust. This occurs when heated fluids penetrate the host rock and chemically modify other “host” minerals to produce serpentine and stichtite.
This particular Atlantisite powder is of exceptional quality (Grade A) with a light purple hue.
Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles. Our powders do have a slight grit to them. Please see the corresponding sediment size chart.
