Crushed Smoky Quartz (Grade A) from Brazil, Fine Crush, Powder Size, <0.25mm
Quartz is the second most abundant mineral in the Earth's crust. Many gemstones, such as amethyst, rose quartz, and citrine, are quartz varieties that have trace amounts of other elements within their crystalline structure. These trace elements produce the variety of colors that we see in quartz.
The color of smoky quartz (brownish-black) can be attributed to natural radiation reacting with trace aluminum within the crystalline structure. This particular crushed smoky quartz is from Brazil and is grade A material.
Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles. Our powders do have a slight grit to them. Please see the corresponding sediment size chart.
