Jasper is composed of micro-crystalline quartz that can come in a variety of different colors and textures. This wide color variation is mainly due to impurities and trace elements within the crystalline lattice. For red jasper, the trace element that gives it its distinct color is iron. This particular red jasper is very high-quality with consistent color and is from South Africa.

MATERIAL SIZE

Our crushed sand-sized material ranges from very fine to coarse sand, and is available in three size variations: 1mm to 2mm, 0.25mm to 2mm, and 0.25mm to 1mm. Our sand-sized material is ideal for a wide range of creative projects, including woodworking inlays, memorial and resin jewelry, orgonite pyramids, ring inlay, resin molds, mosaics, terrariums, bezel cups, resin art, embellishments, and metaphysical projects.

* COARSE SAND - 1mm to 2mm: medium to coarse sand; narrow grain size distribution with similar size particles

* MEDIUM SAND - 0.25mm to 2mm: very fine to coarse sand; wide grain size distribution with an even mix of larger and smaller particles

* FINE SAND - 0.25mm to 1mm: very fine to medium sand; narrow grain size distribution with similar size particles
