Lapis lazuli is a rock that is composed of three important minerals: 1) lazurite (royal blue), 2) calcite (white), and 3) pyrite (metallic gold). This premium quality lapis is from Afghanistan and is composed of approximately 95% lazurite. This material darkens and deepens when the stone is wet or sealed with an adhesive, and is a classic choice for your higher-end woodworking and ring inlay projects. 

MATERIAL SIZE

Our powdered material, consisting predominantly of silt and clay sized particles (<0.25mm), has a subtle gritty texture. Powdered minerals are great for filling in small cracks or voids, orgonite pyramids, resin molds, memorial and resin jewelry, ring inlay, resin art, and creating textured paints and pigments.
