Malachite is a relatively soft, copper-rich mineral that has been used for thousands of years to make dyes, paints, and mosaics (just to name a few). This particular malachite is from the Congo Region, which is known for its large, bright green specimens. Malachite is used in almost every trade or craft, from woodworking, to jewelry, to natural paint pigment - you can't go wrong with this top-quality stone!
Our powdered material consists of mostly silt and clay sized particles. Our powders do have a slight grit to them. Please see the corresponding sediment size chart.
