Tourmaline is not a single mineral, but a large family of closely related minerals known for their unusual optical and physical characteristics. It is chemically more complex than most minerals and displays an exceptional range of colors and varieties, though black tourmaline is the most abundant.

This high-quality crushed black tourmaline, sourced from Brazil, has a striking natural luster. The material is exceptionally clean and free from contamination by other minerals or host rock. Tourmaline is also one of the official birthstones for October.

MATERIAL SIZE

Our medium material is considered to be sand sized (fine sand to very coarse sand), ranging between 0.25 millimeters to 2 millimeters. This size is great for most woodworking inlays, memorial and resin jewelry, orgonite pyramids, ring inlay, resin molds, mosaics, terrariums, bezel cups, resin art, embellishments, and metaphysical projects.
