*CLOSEOUT* Crushed Petrified Wood Chalcedony Sand from Arizona, Medium Sand (0.25mm-2mm) for Woodworking and Ring Inlay, Resin Art, Memorial Jewelry

This crushed petrified wood is from Arizona and formed during the Late Triassic period. At that time, downed trees accumulated in river channels and were subsequently buried by sediment containing volcanic ash. Groundwater then dissolved the silica from the volcanic ash and carried it into the downed logs, where it formed quartz crystals that gradually replaced the organic matter over time. Iron oxide and other trace elements combined with the silica to create the variety of colors that we see in petrified wood from Arizona today. 

This crushed material is composed of muted colors of petrified wood and chalcedony. The material is a lighter and paler version compared to our regular petrified wood offering. 

MATERIAL SIZE

Our medium material is considered to be sand sized (fine sand to very coarse sand), ranging between 0.25 millimeters to 2 millimeters. This size is great for most woodworking inlays, memorial and resin jewelry, orgonite pyramids, ring inlay, resin molds, mosaics, terrariums, bezel cups, resin art, embellishments, and metaphysical projects.
